Breakfast, Q&A, Then Modfire team will teach a comprehensive half-day course training you in the various skills necessary to craft your fireplace. (By the time you have completed this course you will have the knowledge and insight to allow you to continue forward with metalworking as a new skill.) Once the skills course is completed you will start hands on fabrication of your very own Modfire fireplace. From rolling the shape, to fitting the pieces together, welding and finally hand finishing with the tools of the trade, this is the best kind of learning in a stress free, fun and engaging environment.
Also, No judgments, we all started out right where you will be starting, it’s only though years of working in the craft were we make it look easy. Disclaimer! This can be highly addictive, exciting and open up a new world of possibilities for you.
Day two:
Breakfast, Q&A and get working on your Modfire fireplace with the Modfire team assisting a helping hand. This is a full day of fabrication moving you through the various build processes for each piece. This will give you incredible insight into how items get made and help you understand theory behind how to fabricate items, this will help if you choose to build your own pieces later on as you peruse the craft of metalworking.
Day three:
Breakfast, Q&A ½ day of fabrication and finishing of your Modfire fireplace and getting it Ready for powder coating. Remember, you will get as much or as little help as you need. If you don’t complete your fireplace in time, we will finish it the rest of the way, powder coat it, for you and ship it to your door. Modfire is located in Downtown Phoenix AZ. There are some nice hotels near the studio that offer reasonable rates for stay.
If you are flying into Sky Harbor Airport it’s about 15 min from our Studio/Showroom. If you are driving we are right off the I-10 Freeway at Modfire 1316 W. Grand. Ave Phoenix AZ 85007
