Learn the Craft.

We begin the morning with fresh coffee, breakfast, introductions, and a walk through the Modfire studio.

Before building your fireplace, we'll teach you the fundamentals of modern metalworking—from rolling and fitting steel to welding, grinding, and finishing. You'll practice each technique with personal guidance from our craftsmen before applying those skills to your own Modfire.

By the afternoon, you'll begin transforming raw steel into your fireplace.

Don't worry if you've never touched a welder.

Every one of us started exactly where you are.

Our job is simply to help you discover what you're capable of.

DAY TWO

Build Your Story.

Today is where everything comes together.

With the Modfire team working alongside you, you'll continue fabricating your fireplace, learning the techniques and craftsmanship behind every curve, weld, and detail.

You'll gain a deeper understanding of how modern sculpture is created—and why things made by hand carry a different kind of value.

By the end of the day, your fireplace begins to feel less like a project...

and more like something uniquely yours.

DAY THREE

Finish with Fire.

Today is about bringing your vision to life.

You'll complete the final fabrication, refine every detail, and prepare your Modfire for its professional powder-coated finish.

Some Makers will complete every step of their fireplace during the experience. Others may need a little help—and that's perfectly okay.

This isn't a race.

It's craftsmanship.

If your fireplace isn't completely finished by the end of the weekend, the Modfire team will complete the remaining fabrication to our exacting standards, professionally powder coat it in the color of your choice, and carefully package and ship it directly to your home.

A few weeks later...

A crate arrives.

Inside is more than a fireplace.

It's the story of a weekend you'll never forget.

The first time you light it, you'll remember the smell of steel, the sound of grinders, the shower of sparks, and the people who stood beside you.

Modfire is located in Downtown Phoenix AZ.
There are some nice hotels near the studio that offer reasonable rates for stay.

If you are flying into Sky Harbor Airport it’s about 15 min from our Studio/Showroom.
If you are driving we are right off the I-10 Freeway at Modfire 1316 Grand. Ave Phoenix AZ 85007
